Terms of Service

The rules for using Zevron to fight chargebacks: what we do, what it costs, and what each side is responsible for.
1.This agreement
These terms are a contract between Zevron (“Zevron”, “we”) and the business that signs up (“you”, the merchant). By creating an account or installing the Zevron Shopify app, you accept them on behalf of that business and confirm you have authority to do so.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data, and our Data Processing Addendum forms part of these terms whenever we process personal data for you.
2.The service
Zevron helps subscription merchants respond to chargebacks. For each dispute you send us, we:
- pull the relevant records from your store and connected apps (orders, subscription history, delivery tracking, support threads, cancellation logs);
- draft a response with AI, using that evidence;
- have a person on our team review and approve the response;
- file it with the payment processor (Shopify Payments or Stripe) before the deadline, where we have permission to do so.
We also send you reports on why disputes happen and how to prevent them. We may change or improve features over time; we will not remove core dispute filing without notice.
3.Store access
You connect Shopify or Stripe through their standard OAuth flows. On Shopify we ask for read-only access to orders, customers and fulfillments, plus permission to submit dispute evidence. On Stripe, Connect grants account access; we use it only to read disputes, charges, customers, invoices and subscriptions, and to upload evidence files and submit dispute responses. Other connected apps (such as Recharge, Skio, Loop, EasyPost, Klaviyo or Gorgias) are read-only.
You can revoke access at any time by uninstalling the app or disconnecting an integration. We cannot fight disputes we can no longer see.
4.Fees
Short version: your first 10 disputes are free. After that we charge 15% of what we recover, and nothing when we lose.
- Free disputes. The first 10 disputes we file for your business carry no fee, whatever the outcome.
- Success fee. After that, the fee is 15% of the amount recovered on each dispute we win. A dispute is “won” when the processor or card network rules in your favour and the funds are returned to you. Partial wins are charged on the amount actually returned.
- No win, no fee. Lost, withdrawn or expired disputes cost nothing.
- Shopify billing. If you use Zevron through Shopify, fees are charged as usage charges on your Shopify invoice, under the spending cap you approve in Shopify. Otherwise we bill you monthly through Stripe: if you save a card, we charge it automatically for the month’s fees; if not, we email an invoice payable within 14 days.
- Reversals. If a won dispute is later reversed (for example, on pre-arbitration), we refund or credit the fee for that dispute.
Fees exclude taxes. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before changing them; the change applies only to disputes opened after that date.
5.No guarantee of outcomes
Card networks and issuing banks decide disputes, not Zevron. We do our best work on every case, but we do not promise any particular result, win rate or recovered amount. Past results, including figures shown on our website, are not a guarantee.
We are also not responsible for deadlines that expire before you connect your store or before a dispute reaches us.
6.Human review
AI drafts each response, and a trained person on our team reviews and approves it before it is filed. Nothing is submitted on AI output alone. You can also ask us to hold a dispute for your own review, or to not contest it.
7.Your responsibilities
You agree that:
- the records in your store and connected apps, and any documents you upload, are accurate and have not been altered to win a dispute;
- you have the authority to submit evidence for the disputes you send us, and the right to share the underlying customer data with us for that purpose;
- you have a lawful basis and any notices your customers need for us to process their data as described in the DPA;
- you will tell us promptly if a dispute is valid (for example, the customer was genuinely charged in error) so we do not contest it;
- you will follow card-network rules and your processor’s terms, and keep your account details current.
We may decline to contest any dispute we believe is valid, fraudulent on your side, or would require misleading evidence.
8.Acceptable use
- Do not use Zevron to submit false, fabricated or misleading evidence.
- Do not try to access other merchants’ data, probe our systems, or overload our APIs (including the usage API).
- Do not resell or white-label the service without a written agreement with us.
9.Your data
You own your store data and the evidence we assemble from it. You give us permission to use it only to run the service for you, including drafting, filing and reporting. We may use aggregated, de-identified statistics (for example, win rates by reason code) to improve the service; these never identify you or your customers.
10.Term and termination
These terms apply from sign-up until either of us ends them. There is no minimum term.
- You can stop at any time by uninstalling the Shopify app, disconnecting Zevron in your Stripe dashboard, or emailing [email protected].
- We can end the service with 30 days’ notice, or immediately if you materially breach these terms (for example, by submitting falsified evidence) or fail to pay.
- Disputes already filed when the service ends still carry the success fee if they are won.
- After termination we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy; for Shopify stores, everything is deleted 48 hours after uninstall.
11.Disclaimer
Apart from what these terms expressly promise, the service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
12.Limitation of liability
Our total liability arising out of or relating to these terms is limited to the fees you paid Zevron in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Neither of us is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or revenue, including the value of disputes that are lost. These limits do not apply to your payment obligations, to either party’s fraud or wilful misconduct, or where the law does not allow them.
13.Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify Zevron against third-party claims arising from evidence you supplied that was inaccurate or that you had no right to share.
14.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction, and both parties consent to it.
15.Changes and contact
We may update these terms. For material changes we will email the account owner at least 30 days in advance; continuing to use Zevron after that date means you accept them. The date at the top shows the latest version.
